Uganda has a half of the remaining mountain gorillas with the rest in Rwanda and DR Congo meaning it has many numbers of habituated gorilla families for tourism and higher chances of seeing the mountain gorillas.

There are also other gorilla families which are still undergoing gorilla habituation process which means training gorillas to get used to human presence and the process takes 2 to 3 years. Therefore you can participate in gorilla habituation which allows you to be close with the mountain gorillas for 4 hours as you also participate in habituating them.

Your participation in gorilla habituation is a big contribution in the habituation process.

The mountain gorilla and chimpanzee safari brings you close to the rare endangered mountain gorillas still living in one of Africa’s ancient forest of Bwindi Impenetrable national park and Kibale the home of chimpanzees.

Kibale national park is the best destination to do chimpanzee trekking in the whole of East Africa because it also has other many primate species which are so amazing to see.
